5160 differentially hardened forged high-carbon steel blade with a real visible hamon, hardened to HRC 60 at the edge and HRC 40 at the back.
Real white same rayskin handle with black tsuka-ito, complemented by blackened fittings, snowflake tsuba detail and themed menuki.
Supplied with a black textured lacquered saya; overall length is 44 1/2" and weight is approximately 2 lb 4 oz.

Description

Forged from 5160 high-carbon steel, the blade is differentially hardened to offer a hard edge and more resilient spine, with HRC 60 at the edge and HRC 40 at the back. Its 1 1/2" kissaki, 1" sori and substantial blade dimensions give it a purposeful profile suited to serious collecting, display and disciplined cutting practice on suitable materials. The handle is finished with black tsuka-ito over real rayskin, matched with blackened fuchi-kashira and themed menuki. A black textured lacquered saya completes the presentation, giving the Winter Sun Katana Forged a refined monochrome look that suits both dedicated Japanese sword collections and premium display settings. Please note that the sageo cord on the saya may not be wrapped exactly as pictured.
