lionSTEEL Thrill Aluminum – Orange / Silver

The Thrill Aluminum – Orange / Silver is an ultralight, classic folding knife from Italian manufacturer lionSTEEL, featuring a satin-finished blade and a handle produced using Solid® technology. Its non-locking SlipJoint mechanism uses spring pressure on a flat notch at the back of the blade to hold it in the folded and open positions; manual pressure is required to open and fold the blade. The design is by Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), an Italian designer noted for material experimentation and advanced design methods. The blade is made from Böhler M390 powder steel, a high-chromium, vanadium-alloyed steel with excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance, typically hardened to 60–61 HRC. IKBS ball bearings support smooth blade movement. The drop-point blade has a full flat grind, a satin-matte finish and a double-sided nail nick for manual opening. The handle is machined from a single block of Ergal aluminium using Solid® Knife technology, creating a lightweight, monolithic skeleton with a textured surface for improved grip. The H.WAYL retractable right-side clip supports tip-up carry and retracts at the press of a button, reducing interference from a protruding clip during extended use.
