The Dragon King Miao Dao is an imposing Chinese sword inspired by the historic “grain leaf” sabre, a form associated with the Ming-era military tradition and the renowned General Qi Jiguang. With its long blade, extended two-handed grip, and distinctive proportions, this piece has a commanding presence for collectors of Chinese swords and historically influenced blades. The 34 3/4" forged 5160 high-carbon steel blade is paired with an 18" leather-wrapped wood-core handle, giving the sword its characteristic elongated silhouette. Brushed stainless steel fittings, including the guard and pommel, add a clean contrast to the blade, while the dragon-head blade collar provides a striking traditional accent. Supplied with a brown textured lacquered scabbard, the Miao Dao is finished with a brushed steel belt ring plus stainless steel throat and chape.
