Description

The Raptor-Unokubi Zukuri Katana from CAS Hanwei is a distinctive Japanese sword based on the Unokubi-Zukuri, or “Cormorant’s Neck”, blade form. Also known as Nagamaki Naoshi, this profile is patterned after the shape of the Nagamaki, a long-handled sword style associated with the 12th to 14th centuries. Its strongly relieved shinogi-ji and diamond-shaped kissaki give the blade a visually striking, historically informed character.
