The Banter series is Ben Peterson's collaboration with We Knives, drawing inspiration from other folding knives and focusing on a practical everyday utility design. The Big Banter retains the original design in a larger format, adding nearly two inches to the overall length. Its 3.69-inch blade is housed in a sizeable handle, giving an overall length of just over eight and one-third inches. The revised handle omits the wide base while retaining ample grip space and a finger choil for detailed tasks. The drop-point blade operates smoothly on a caged ceramic ball-bearing pivot and uses ambidextrous dual titanium thumb studs. A nearly full flat grind provides balanced edge geometry while retaining durability, and the spine swedge refines the tip profile for detail work. Barrel spacers join the nested steel liners and handle scales in a lightweight, easy-to-maintain open-back construction. Durable, weather-resistant Micarta scales provide grip traction while remaining pocket-friendly. The reversible pocket clip supports ambidextrous tip-up carry.
