lionSTEEL Thrill Aluminum – Orange / Silver

The Thrill Aluminum – Orange / Silver is an ultralight, classic folding knife from the Italian manufactory LionSteel, featuring a satin-finished blade and a handle produced using Solid® technology. It is fitted with a SlipJoint mechanism (non-locking) which uses spring pressure on a flat notch on the back of the blade to hold the blade in both folded and open positions; force is required to fold and unfold the blade. The design is by Michele Pensato (a.k.a. Molletta), a respected Italian designer noted for his material experimentation and advanced design methods. The blade is made from Böhler M390 powder steel — a high-chromium, vanadium-alloyed steel with excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance, typically hardened to 60–61 HRC. IKBS ball bearings provide fast, smooth blade deployment. The drop-point blade has a full flat grind and a satin matte finish and is opened using a double-sided nail nick. The handle is machined from a single block of Ergal aluminium using Solid® Knife technology, producing a lightweight, monolithic skeleton with non-slip surface texture for improved grip. H.WAYL (Hide What Annoys You Lionsteel) is a retractable right-side clip that allows tip-up carry and is retracted by pressing a button, useful when a protruding clip can interfere with extended use.
