Thrill Aluminum – Black / Silver by lionSTEEL is a lightweight, classic folding knife with a satin-finished blade and a handle manufactured using Solid® technology. Its SlipJoint mechanism is non-locking, with spring pressure acting on a flat notch at the back of the blade to hold it in the folded and unfolded positions. Designed for routine utility and field tasks where lawful, the knife reflects lionSTEEL's precision manufacturing and material expertise. The design is by Michele Pensato, also known as Molletta, an Italian designer recognised for his use of materials, heat-treatment experimentation and advanced design software. The blade is made from Böhler M390 powder steel, manufactured by Böhler-Uddeholm in Austria. This high-chromium steel contains vanadium, offers high corrosion and abrasion resistance, and has a hardness of 60–61 HRC. The blade has a Drop Point profile, a plain edge, a Full Flat Grind and a satin-matte finish. A double-sided nail nick is provided for opening, while the IKBS ball-bearing system supports smooth blade movement. The handle is CNC-machined from a single block of Ergal aluminium using Solid® Knife technology, creating a lightweight monolithic structure with high structural strength. Its textured surface provides a secure grip. The H.WAYL retractable right-side clip supports tip-up carry and retracts at the push of a button, reducing obstruction during extended utility use.
