Description

The Legacy Arms Knight Riding Sword is a historically informed collectible inspired by early 14th-century German examples. According to Ewart Oakeshott’s Records of the Medieval Sword, closely comparable designs appear on effigies including Arnold I, Landgrave of Cleve, dated 1320, and a hero-figure in Cologne dated circa 1308. Its compact proportions and period styling make it an appealing piece for collectors and historical display. The 21" blade is hand-forged from 5160 carbon steel and hand-tempered, with the construction securely peened at the pommel. The wood grip is wrapped in black leather and complemented by a matt steel guard and pommel. It is supplied with a black leather-covered wooden scabbard featuring steel fittings at the throat and tip, completing its historically influenced presentation.
