The Kizer Microbe is a compact folding knife with a playful, rounded form inspired by the microscopic world. Designed by Maksim Epifantsev, it pairs a 55.57mm drop-point blade with a black and grey Vortex Micarta handle, giving the knife a distinctive swirling finish. Its 14C28N stainless-steel blade is flat ground for efficient everyday cutting and grey stonewashed to help minimise the appearance of marks from regular use. Despite its small dimensions, the Microbe is shaped to provide confident control. A curved handle profile and finger choil support a comfortable grip, while extended jimping along the blade spine improves thumb traction during detailed tasks. The thumb-hole opener and ball-bearing pivot deliver smooth operation, complemented by Kizer Button Liner Lock™ with an enlarged semi-circular button for easy, reliable use.
