The Kingston Arms Spada Da Lato Side Sword is a historically inspired interpretation of the Italian side swords of the 16th and 17th century Renaissance period. Lighter and more responsive than many earlier sword forms, the side sword was valued for its blend of agility, refined handling, and versatile blade geometry. This piece captures that elegant profile in a well-balanced format suitable for collectors, historical fencing enthusiasts, and display. Forged from 5160 high carbon steel, the 32 3/4" blade is paired with a swept hilt that offers substantial hand coverage while preserving the distinctive Renaissance silhouette. A leather grip, 41" overall length, and 2 lb 9 oz weight give the sword a composed feel in the hand, with a point of balance approximately 2" from the guard. A leather-covered scabbard is included, and the sword ships disassembled to help reduce shipping costs.
