Description

The Atrim Design Knights Sword Type XVIII by Kingston Arms is the first in a series of production swords designed by Angus “Gus” Trim. Based on Oakeshott’s Type XVIII form, it reflects the elegant proportions of a 15th-century single-handed sword, with a stiff diamond-section blade and clean taper. Kingston Arms has combined Gus Trim’s developed design principles with upgraded materials and finish. The blade is hand forged from mono-tempered 9260 spring steel, flat ground and satin finished, while the stainless steel fittings complement the intended design. A solid wood core grip with cord reinforcement and a textured leather over-wrap provides a traditional appearance. The included wood core scabbard has a stitched leather wrap and stainless steel chape. Measuring 33 1/4 inches overall, with a 27-inch blade, a weight of 2 lb 2 oz and a 3 1/2-inch point of balance, this Kingston Arms sword is a well-specified collectible piece intended for historical display.
