Cold Steel Pole Axe

Cold Steel's Pole Axe is a modern interpretation of a traditional historical design, intended only as a collectible piece for historical display. Developed by Lynn C Thompson following years of studying axes, glaives, halberds and staves from traditions around the world, it is expertly drop forged from 1055 carbon steel. The axe blade and dense hammer head are differentially heat treated, with hardened ends and a slightly softer body designed to absorb shock and impact. The American-made Ash wood handle is reinforced with black steel langettes.
