Cold Steel O Tanto Bokken

The Cold Steel O Tanto Bokken is a synthetic Japanese-style training sword designed for controlled martial arts practice. Closely modelled on traditional bokken proportions, it features an intricately detailed imitation cord-wrap grip moulded in high-impact polypropylene for a secure and comfortable hold. Traditional bokken are commonly made from Japanese white oak, known as Kashi, but wood can rot, crack, split or splinter over time. This polypropylene alternative is resistant to the elements and offers consistent durability at a lower cost. Made from the heaviest grade of polypropylene available, it replicates the length, size, weight and feel of a traditional sword while remaining slightly more flexible than wood. Its stiff, cut-resistant construction is suitable for structured training under appropriate supervision.
