The handle is made from micarta, a durable composite of linen and synthetic resin that provides a secure grip in wet conditions. The TOPS American Trail Maker comes with a sturdy Kydex sheath and a rotatable steel belt clip. A secure retention system helps keep the knife in the sheath, with two protruding pins on either side of the blade providing the necessary retention.
