Named after the stout dwarf from The Hobbit, the Tenable Bömbur is a substantial folding knife designed by Midgards Messer. Its 89.7 mm drop-point blade is made from D2 steel with a blackwashed finish, a practical flat grind and a substantial 5.0 mm spine. The extended straight edge handles controlled utility cuts effectively, while the curved belly supports smooth slicing. The amber PEI/Ultem handle uses a deeply contoured profile to provide a secure and comfortable grip. A full titanium backspacer/spine reinforces the construction, while a titanium pocket clip adds everyday practicality. The triangular blade opening, jimping and ball-bearing pivot support controlled manual deployment, and the liner lock provides firm blade retention during use.
