Description
The Ontario Knife Company Rat 3 Utility 8662 is a compact fixed-blade knife designed for outdoor and general utility use. Its broad, cleaver-shaped 3.74-inch blade is made from durable 1075 carbon steel and is straightforward to sharpen. A powder-coated finish helps protect the carbon steel against corrosion. Keep the blade dry and apply a light coat of oil as needed. The lightly textured micarta handle offers a comfortable, secure grip and includes a curve for the index finger. Jimping along the blade spine provides a stable thumb position and controlled handling. The compact dimensions make the knife manageable for a range of field tasks. An exposed steel section at the rear of the handle includes a large lanyard hole. The Rat 3 Utility is supplied with a solid nylon sheath for storage and transport, with MOLLE-compatible attachment.
