The Ontario Rat-3 Skinner 8661 is a compact fixed-blade outdoor and utility knife based on the original Rat-3 model. Its curved blade is made from 1075 carbon steel, a strong material that is straightforward to sharpen. A durable powder coating helps protect the carbon steel from corrosion. Keep the blade dry and apply a light coating of oil when required. The micarta handle has a lightly textured surface for a comfortable, secure grip. Its ergonomic shape includes an index-finger curve, while jimping on the spine provides added control during utility tasks. A large lanyard hole is positioned at the rear of the handle, where the steel extends slightly beyond the handle scales for light utility work. The Ontario RAT-3 includes a durable nylon sheath that is MOLLE compatible for secure storage and attachment.
