Description
The Ontario Knife Company 499 Survival Knife features a 5" plain-edge blade with a thickness of 0.17", a flat bevel with swedge grind, and a hardness of HRC 50–55. The high-carbon 1095 steel blade has a zinc phosphate finish to help protect against rust. The Ontario 6150 has a brown leather-wrapped handle measuring approximately 4.5" and an overall length of 9.5". Additional features include sawteeth on the spine, a steel butt cap, and a leather sheath with a sharpening stone and tie-down cord.
