Description
This knife is used by several branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. The 5" plain edge blade has a .17" thickness with a flat bevel with swedge grind and an HRC of 50-55. A zinc phosphate finish over the tough high carbon 1095 steel helps protect from rust. Unique to the Ontario 6150, 499 Air Force Survival Knife is it's brown leather wrapped handle which is about 4.5" long. The Ontario 6150, 499 Air Force Survival Knife has an overall length of 9.5".
