Medford Knife & Tool Hunstman Strapper

We developed this little work-horse for the North American big-game hunter. Here in Arizona we have BIG Elk and one of our former employees complained of breaking tips off many of his hunting knives when working out the back strap on elk. We developed a smaller blade to handle proportion knife for great handle purchase and leverage on the blade end of the knife. We use a slightly thicker blade stock than is normal on hunting knives and developed our Helical grind to provide an almost imperceptible transition from the main cutting edge to a shorter grind panel height at the tip. This sophisticated turning grind can only be done by hand and only by the very best of knife craftsmen. The shorter grind panel makes for a thicker and much more buttressed tip strength.
