Designed by Johan Jordaan, the Kizer Phasmids is a compact fixed-blade utility knife that balances low weight with dependable construction. Its 70.8mm sheepsfoot blade is made from AEB-L steel and finished in satin, with a flat grind and straight cutting edge suited to controlled slicing through cardboard, rope, textiles and similar materials. At 159.9mm overall and only 46.9g, it is comfortable to handle during detailed or repetitive cutting tasks. The full-tang construction provides a continuous steel structure through the black Micarta handle, while strategically placed weight-reduction holes help minimise bulk without compromising the knife's core build. A coarse diagonal handle weave adds useful texture and durability. Supplied with a sheath, the Phasmids offers a practical combination of compact dimensions, corrosion resistance and precise everyday cutting performance.
