Kizer Harpoon

The Harpoon is a collaboration between Kizer Cutlery and James Buckley of Maverick Customs. This compact fixed-blade knife is designed for general outdoor and utility tasks. It features a 3.875-inch D2 carbon steel blade with a black powder-coated finish. D2 is a widely used knife steel known for edge retention and straightforward sharpening. The distinctive blade profile includes a swedge near the tip and a recess along the spine, providing a resting position for the thumb or index finger during detailed work. The tapered Micarta handle includes a finger choil to support a closer, controlled grip. The Kydex sheath has two button snaps and can be attached to a belt or other suitable gear, including in a horizontal belt-carry position. Kizer uses high-tech wire EDM machinery to cut the components. This process is slower than laser or waterjet cutting, but Kizer considers the resulting quality worth the additional time. Each component is precision machined and engineered to fine tolerances. Final fit, finish, action and sharpening are completed by hand using established cutlery craftsmanship. Kizer combines skilled workmanship with a long-term commitment to producing high-quality knives.
