Designed by longtime KA-BAR collaborator Petr Janda, the KA-BAR APEX is a slim, robust fixed-blade knife created for practical utility work, particularly where space is limited. Its 9.91 cm clip-point blade is made from D2 tool steel, flat ground and hardened to 59–61 HRC for a capable balance of cutting performance, strength and edge retention. The green glass-filled nylon handle keeps the construction durable and lightweight, while the black blade gives the knife a distinctive finish. Measuring 21.41 cm overall and weighing approximately 181 g, the KA-BAR APEX offers controlled handling in a compact format. A hard plastic sheath is included for protected storage and transport.
