Oddjob’s black bowler hat from GOLDFINGER (1964) is one of James Bond’s most recognisable accessories. This limited edition prop replica by Factory Entertainment recreates the hat seen on screen, including the variant with the metal under‑brim that features in the film’s climactic sequence. The design was developed after detailed study of the original SFX hat held in the EON Productions archives and reference material from production, honouring the prop’s on‑screen proportions and finish. The replica is made using wooden forms derived from hand measurements of the archive piece and pressed from a specially commissioned ultra‑heavyweight wool felt to match the original’s substantial look. A laser‑cut brushed stainless steel ring is invisibly and permanently fixed using a combined mechanical and chemical bonding method. Screen‑accurate details include the black edging ribbon, satin exterior hat band, satin liner and leather internal band.
