It is made from high-carbon 1095 steel, which may rust or stain if not properly maintained, particularly along the exposed edge and around the laser engraving. Users should keep the blade clean and properly lubricated. ESEE-4 knives are supplied with a sheath instruction sheet and Survival Business Card.
