9" Blade (22.9cm) with elegant tanto proportions, measuring 6mm thick at the guard and tapering to 2mm near the tip.
San-mai stainless steel blade construction combines a hard core for edge retention with softer outer steel for added toughness; rated HRC 60 at the edge and HRC 40 at the back.
Fully wrapped genuine ray skin handle provides a distinctive traditional texture, complemented by gold-plated oriole menuki and matching decorative details.

From the creative direction of Frenchie Jin and the Dragon King forge, the Baika Tanto (Plum Blossom Tanto) is a finely detailed Japanese-style collectible with a graceful floral theme. Its 9" san-mai stainless steel blade uses a traditional laminated construction, placing a hard steel core between softer outer layers to balance edge retention and resilience. The handle is fully wrapped in genuine ray skin, giving the piece a firm, tactile grip and a premium traditional look. Gold-plated oriole menuki, gold accents, a gold saya and a brown-and-gold sageo complete the presentation, with the plum blossom motif tying the design together beautifully. Light in the hand at 12 oz and measuring 15 1/8" overall, the Baika Tanto is well suited to collectors seeking a compact companion piece to the Tatsumaki Katana (SD35120).
