DMT 8-in DuoSharp Plus – No Base Medium X-Fine / XX-Fine

The Medium Extra-Fine (4000 mesh, 6 micron) and the Extra Extra-Fine (8000 mesh, 3 micron) are the finest grits that DMT offers. These grits will not cut aggressively and are used only in creating that perfect razor sharp edge after you’ve worked your edge to near perfection on an extra fine stone. The 8" DuoSharp Plus Bench Stones are designed with DMT’s signature polka-dot (aka interrupted) pattern on steel plates attached to a central core. They are perfect for knives, scissors, and tools. The PLUS in the name is the continuous diamond area found on one end of each side that can be used for small and pointed tools. The overall size of the DMT 8" DuoSharp Plus is very generous at 8" long and 2 5/8" wide. The length is long enough to ensure long strokes of your tool or knife, and the width is wide enough for even larger plane blades. The double-sided stone offers a more economical way to own both grits.
