The Cudeman BS9 Quercus (160-M) is a robust fixed-blade tool designed for demanding outdoor work. Its 10.5 cm (4.1") drop-point blade has a ground profile and satin finish for general camp utility, while the 3.8 mm spine and full-tang construction provide durability for batoning, sheltercraft and other field tasks. The molybdenum-vanadium steel is heat treated to 54–56 HRC for a practical balance of edge retention and toughness. The black satin Micarta handle features a red spacer, thumb notch and lanyard pin, together with an integrated pusher/striker and a Micarta front inlay to assist with batoning. The knife is supplied with a multi-position black leather sheath and the 644-N adapter kit, comprising a sharpening stone, signal mirror, sundial, ferrocerium striker and 2.80 m of red paracord.
