The El Cudeman MT‑5 is the brand’s most recognised fixed‑blade model, introduced in 2012 as the successor to the MT‑1. Its simple, well balanced full‑tang construction and classic lines make it a durable, dependable tool for outdoor and survival tasks. The design has been refined over time — from steel selection to sheath layout — but remains faithful to the original intent: a robust, serviceable blade that feels balanced in the hand. Crafted in Böhler N‑695 stainless steel and finished with a satin face, the 11 cm (4.3") drop‑point blade is flat‑ground and 5 mm thick for a combination of strength and edge performance. The cocobolo wood handle sits on a solid full‑tang, finished with a satin A‑304 steel guard and a striking pommel; spine jimping and an integrated lanyard/pin system increase versatility. The supplied brown leather multiposition sheath is riveted and allows vertical or horizontal carry while including an adapter for a sharpening stone and ferrocerium rod — a practical pack‑ready setup.
