Rail thin, feather light and flat like a pancake, the Secret Edge is designed for anyone seeking an unobtrusive yet highly effective neck knife. Unlike heavier, bulkier rivals, the Secret Edge is exceptionally slim, presenting a low profile when worn and, at 3.2 ounces (including sheath), is comfortable to wear without causing neck fatigue. Inspired by the ancient Scottish Skean Dhu, it combines modern materials, performance and appearance, and features a flat-ground Japanese AUS 8A stainless blade that is wide at the base for cutting power and narrows at the tip to ensure precise tip control and efficient cutting. The edge is sharp, and to ensure secure handling with such a diminutive blade, the Secret Edge is equipped with an exceptionally thin, flat faux G-10 handle. The handle has three holes to reduce weight and a textured surface to improve grip and resist rolling or twisting in the hand. For safety and to help prevent loss, the Secret Edge is supplied with a correspondingly slim Secure-Ex® sheath that offers reliable retention without compromising speed of access or deployment.
