Description
The Cold Steel Bushman® is a hardwearing fixed-blade knife designed for outdoor and bushcraft use. Unlike many hollow-handled outdoor knives, its blade and integral handle are cold-forged from a single piece of 2.5 mm thick SK-5 high-carbon steel, with no joint, seam or mechanical fastener between them. The knife is heat-treated and tempered to RC54 and, in manufacturer testing, withstood more than two tons of pressure at the blade-to-handle transition. The blade is ground to a thin edge before being honed and buffed by hand. The hollow handle can accommodate outdoor supplies or compatible handle extensions. The Bushman® is available in standard and Bowie-point blade profiles and includes a Secure-Ex™ sheath with a ferrocerium fire steel for campfire preparation using the blade spine.
