Cold Steel Assegai with Short Shaft

The spear is one of humankind’s oldest tools. Early examples were simple sticks or poles with fire-hardened ends, with later designs reflecting developments in flint working, bronze casting and metal forging. This historically inspired model is intended as a collectible piece for historical display only. Cold Steel uses its cold-forging technology to offer quality construction at a reasonable price. This model features a premium American Ash shaft and an SK-5 medium carbon steel head. The head is heat treated and drawn to a tough spring temper, allowing it to flex or bend under impact stress rather than break or shatter.
