Citadel Dragon Tanto

The Dragon Tanto from Citadel is the matching tanto to the Citadel Dragon Katana, created in the same small Phnom Penh workshop where Citadel’s swords and knives are made individually from start to finish. Limited to just 100 pieces, each tanto is signed by the smith on the nakago with its unique sword number and is supplied with a matching certificate, making it a highly collectable piece for enthusiasts of traditional Japanese-style craftsmanship. The blade is hand forged from DNH7 high-carbon steel and differentially hardened to 60 HRC at the edge and 40 HRC at the back. Each blade is hand polished using traditional stones and powders, while the pure iron fittings are meticulously hand crafted with a nami wave tsuba and turbulent water-themed fuchi and kashira. The tsuka is carved to fit its individual blade, finished with a full same-gawa wrap and dark blue silk ito imported from Japan. Attention to detail continues through to the saya, which is fully wrapped in ray-skin and hand carved for the individual piece to ensure a secure, precise fit. With a 9 3/4" blade, 16" overall length and a weight of 15 oz, the Dragon Tanto is a refined limited-edition display and collector’s piece from Citadel.
